Fallow Deer

Medium sized deer, young and males often have spots, females are brown all with lighter under.

Although far less common than the Roe, there are quite a number of Fallow Deer living wild in the West Pennine Moors as well as some domestic herds.

Fallow Deer can be found around grassland and in woods and sometimes on the open moor, especially around heather.
