Calf Hey Reservoir is small but there are a number of good walking paths all around the water that are even suitable for wheelchairs and prams. The ruins of farms around the routes are cleaned-up so you can see and walk around the layout. There are also interesting pools with small waterfalls that were constructed years ago, manage water going into the reservoirs, but are now blended into nature and look great.
Calf Hey Reservoir has a small car park and another with a cafe close by.

Ogden Reservoir at Haslingden usually just seen from nearby Calf Hey as it has few footpaths.
